Moss discovered that the transition from model to novelist would not be easily accepted by some. After receiving skepticism over her unusual career switch, Moss accepted a journalist's dare in 2002 to sit a lie detector test to prove she is the sole author of her novels. She passed. Moss now has the unusual distinction of being the only crime writer in the world known to be scientifically proven.
Moss currently hosts the crime documentary series "Tara Moss Investigates" on the National Geographic Channel in the UK, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Denmark, Romania, Australia and New Zealand. She has also hosted National Geographic Presents in Australia and New Zealand, mediated a GNW TV Debate, been an MTV Canada guest host, and participated as a guest and panelist on numerous popular TV programs in Australia and Canada, including 'Fashion TV', 'Book Television', Entertainment Tonight' and 'The Panel'. Moss is also in demand as a public speaker, having conducted hundreds of talks and emcee roles at writer's festivals, schools, universities and corporate events.Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Moss is now a proud dual Australian/Canadian citizen, and resides in Sydney. When not researching and writing her next novel, Moss enjoys riding her 900cc Triumph Scrambler motorcycle and spending time with her 8 foot diamond python 'Gomez', her baby black-headed python 'Thing' and her faithful dog 'Bogart', and serving as Ambassador for the YWCA, the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children and the Bone Marrow Donor Institute among others.
