After the release of Amant, L' (1992), Jane was quickly dubbed 'The Sinner from Pinner'. The nickname remained for many years because Amant, L' (1992) at the time was considered to be quite a shocking film. Pinner was the staid London suburb where she grew up.
Model and actress.
While filming Color of Night (1994), opposite Bruce Willis, she fell in love with one of the film's producers, Carmine Zozzora. Just two months after their first date, he proposed and they flew by private jet to Lake Tahoe, marrying in the Dream-Maker wedding chapel. She was only 20, he was 35 and a Hollywood millionaire hotshot. Besides being a producer on the film, he was also the head of Bruce Willis's production company Flying Heart. After they were married, Zozzora put Jane in another film, the 1996 spy thriller Provocateur (1998) for which he was executive producer. After a whirl- wind marriage, the two separated in 1999 and finally divorced in 2001.
Used five body doubles for her love scenes in Amant, L' (1992), while co- star Tony Leung Ka Fai used only two of his own body doubles.
Was only 18 when she shot the film Amant, L' (1992), and 19 when it was released in Britain in 1992. She was hired by French film director Jean-Jacques Annaud who, on his search for an actress to play the film's lead, liked her look when he first spotted her picture on the cover of Just Seventeen magazine. Prior to this film, Jane had no acting experience but was already a top model at the time of her motion-picture debut, having graced the pages of fashion magazines since she was 15.
